High Altitude Weather Balloon

Raspberry Pi and sensors within in my 3D printed enclosure

In the spring of 2022, I helped with a High Altitude Weather Balloon experiment.  The payload of the balloon consisted of various experiments, and a Raspberry Pi to record data and video.  I helped with the assembly of the hardware, the creation of a 3-D printed enclosure for the Raspberry Pi and it’s sensors, as well as with the actual deployment of the balloon on launch day.

Helping with the actual launch

The payload was recovered, along with experiments and the Raspberry Pi, which survived it’s ascent to 46,000 feet and came back with all it’s data and video. Success!
